HOW MANY QUESTIONS SHOULD I ANSWER CORRECTLY TO PASS MY FE CIVIL EXAM?

The FE Civil Exam, like other FE exams, uses a pass/fail system that is determined through a process called scaled scoring. This process does not have a set passing score that is publicly disclosed by the NCEES. The reason for this is that the passing score can vary slightly from one exam to another, depending on the difficulty level of the specific set of questions.

In scaled scoring, the raw scores are converted to a scaled score. This scaling accounts for the difficulty of the specific set of questions on each exam version, ensuring that the passing standard remains consistent over time.
