HOW OFTEN IS THE FE CIVIL EXAM OFFERED AND CAN I RETAKE IT IF I DON'T PASS?

The FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) Civil Exam is offered year-round in multiple testing windows. This flexibility allows candidates to schedule the exam at a convenient time throughout the year. Exams are administered at NCEES-approved Pearson VUE test centers. To schedule an exam, candidates need to register through the NCEES website and then select a date and location based on the availability at their chosen test center. It's recommended to schedule your exam well in advance to ensure you get a slot that suits your preparation timeline and personal schedule.

Yes, you can retake the FE Civil Exam if you don't pass it on your first attempt. NCEES allows candidates to retake the exam with certain restrictions. Generally, you can take the exam once during any two-month testing window and no more than three times in a 12-month period. However, it's important to check with NCEES and your state's licensing board for any specific rules or restrictions that may apply. After an unsuccessful attempt, taking time to review and strengthen your understanding in weaker areas before retaking the exam is advisable.
